Built in 1887 on "The Terrace" — one of Bellaire's most storied streets — The Tara is a rare thing: a beautifully restored historic home sitting steps from downtown and directly above the Intermediate River. Your private dock opens to the Southern Chain of Lakes, including Lake Bellaire and Torch Lake. Northern Michigan the way it should be.

Location
"You probably won't be spending much time inside. If you aren't mountain biking, you might be fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding — or simply sitting on the dock with a glass of wine watching deer pass by."

Tara has all the modern conveniences yet still has touches of 1800's character. You probably won't be spending much time inside — if you aren't mountain biking, you might be on the dock with a glass of wine watching baby deer pass by.
The house looked like it was styled out of a magazine. Every inch of the property was well planned out. It felt like an oasis away from home — but better, because of all the small, thoughtful touches Anne made.
Beautifully renovated and elegantly appointed. The kitchen was perfect, the towels luxurious. We spent many hours on the front porch. Anne and Dave were perfect hosts. We would highly recommend.
